Design and Process

The jacket has an angular design with flared sleeves and arrow details throughout. The arrow is a purposeful symbol with an everyday function in society. The idea was to reappropriate it for aesthetic uses similar to Bronx graffiti writers of the 1970’s. Other features include a traditional shoulder pad and a dropped arm hole so the jacket can be worn with an over-sized hoodie. Patterning such a large armhole while maintaining sleeve mobility was a challenge but it worked out well in the end.
